The weeks and days have whittled away into only a couple left of high school for my oldest son Isaac, who will be graduating. He and his three sisters, all in high school and choir together, were off for their last 'small choir ensembles' concert last night. Isaac, president of the choir, decided to live it up, and off he went in his new grey suit with blue pinstripe shirt and bright magenta bow Continue Reading
Happy Memorial Day
One of our favorite family traditions is our annual blue and white memorial day family picture. It started 21 years ago- I showed up to take CaMarie on a date for a hike up Logan canyon. When she opened the door I was shocked to see that we both had identical blue and white striped shirts- big surprise for both of us! We had a great hike up what we named "Voss trail", talked about some great Continue Reading
Mother’s Day extended…
My heart is so full as I write this! I would love to fill yours up too! It's SO HAPPY! There are MANY challenges to parenting, many exclusive to mothering, we are ALL familiar with that. And then there are many MORE rewards, many greater than we could even imagine!! (Sometimes we lose sight of that.) My kids have been stuck on a song from their last choir concert. It wasn't a favorite Continue Reading
Music Memories with my Mom

Mom was not an expert pianist, far from it she would admit, but it did not matter in the least, we LOVED to sing beside her as she picked out the tunes. Simple songs that taught lasting lessons in their Continue Reading
Singing for Others – Celebrating Service
For family night this week we headed to the nearby assisted-living center to sing. SO MUCH FUN!!! The kind smiles and welcoming arms of our friends there filled our hearts with joy. Amazing how going to serve someone else always lifts your life the most. The children loved it! - even the babies! We've tried to remind the children often "it's more blessed to give than to receive". Celebrate Continue Reading
Being Mother! (Happy Mother’s Day Friends!)
I believe each woman has the meaning of mother written in her heart. It comes with her at birth, lasts through life, and if she answers well to that call is her glory as she passes on to eternity! I have seen this 'mother' nature come with my girls at birth. My twins Emily and Anna would care for at least 7 or more baby dolls in their play: dressing them, feeding them, loading them up in doll Continue Reading
